Amateur Astronomy Club

The Amateur Astronomy Club was founded in 2010 to popularize the knowledge of space and develop an interest in space exploration. The work of the club is directed at a wide public. People of any age and educational background can become its members.

The topics of the club’s work are diverse and fascinating: solar activity, terrestrial magnetic fields, the movement of magnetic poles, including various recent space phenomena which have given rise to a huge public reaction.

At the present time, the Amateur Astronomy Club is dynamically developing. It has 3 telescopes (with a resolution of 600 magnification), including a telescope for direct visual observation with a lens diagonal (aperture) of 12 inches, built on the Dobson mounting, CCD matrix to take pictures of the starry sky, and 17 galileoscopes.

The formation of the astronomy laboratory, the construction of the observation site, the foundation of the planetarium, the development of mass amateur astronomy, and the organization of research expeditions are future potentials for the Club!
